Research interests
My research interests lie at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Science and Technology Studies (STS), and medical sociology. I am particularly interested in how healthcare practices incorporate AI and how this process transforms professional boundaries, expertise, identity, trust, and human-technology relations. Drawing on qualitative and ethnographic approaches, I seek to understand how technological change is negotiated and enacted in everyday professional settings, with particular attention to the changing roles and practices of healthcare professionals.
Background
My academic background spans Anthropology, Sociology, and Science and Technology Studies (STS). I began my academic training in anthropology, developing a strong foundation in ethnographic and qualitative research, before pursuing a Master’s degree in Sociology with a particular focus on healthcare, professions, and digital technologies. Through my work as a research assistant and research projects on hospice and palliative care, medical professions, global health, and AI-enabled healthcare, I have developed extensive experience in qualitative research, including in-depth interviews, fieldwork, literature review, and qualitative data analysis.
