Background

Nayantara Nandi Basu is a PhD Candidate in International Development. Her research project examines how digital technologies are reshaping humanitarian care with a focus on Syrian refugees in Jordan. She is interested in humanitarian innovation, the politics of aid, and refugee governance in the SWANA region. 

She has over five years of professional experience in the humanitarian sector, having worked extensively with UNRWA on private sector partnerships, skills development, and livelihood generation of Palestinian refugees in Jordan, Gaza, the West Bank, Syria, and Lebanon.
